Spring is Here!

It's April already! Time sure does fly, seems to go faster and faster the older I get.
Anyone else have that feeling?

This last week has been absolutely beautiful!!
So warm and sunny! We've been trying to do things outside.
The girls and I have been going for walks. Well, they ride the two pony girls and I walk. But its fun!
Got several things done that we needed to do while the sun is out.
Getting ready for a new chicken pen, had to move the old smaller chicken house to make way for the new one, that took all 3 of us girls, mom, the tractor and our farm handyman, but we got that thing moved! :)

Today dad cut down 3 trees that we needed to take down.
And one was full of this vine-like weed and was leaning over towards our barn.
We now get a little more sun on the barn!

The end of last year Megs got a pair of Geese.
Last week the female started laying. Boy are goose eggs big!!!

They say a goose egg is the size of 3-4 chicken eggs!!

One Month & a Week Ago Today

Ok, so by the title you probably already kind of have an idea of the time frame. ;)
So a month and a week ago today, my sisters (they planned the whole thing!) and parents got together with some friends and threw me a surprise birthday party.
It was amazing and I was totally surprised! They did such a great job! :D
I had such an amazing time and I hope everyone else did too!

So, anyhoo, I now have pictures from the party thanks to Sarah and her brother Nathaniel who she let borrow her camera for a while during the party while she danced some too. Thank you both very much for taking so many fun pictures!!

Ok, I hope I don't overwhelm this post with pictures, but I wanted to share some with you all.
They aren't in order, near the bottom are pictures from the beginning of the the evening. :)

Ok, so my sisters told me I had to post a couple pictures from my birthday photo session.
So begrudgingly, er..um... I am posting these pix for them. :)

If any of you hadn't heard about how they made the surprise party such a great surprise and how they got me there without me knowing why I was there, they planned a photo session for me!
So Sarah asked me if we could do a photo session for my birthday (the plan was to make it look like her idea), and when I asked my mom what day of course she said "how about Sunday after church?" So Sarah picked me up and we went to the Lilac Gardens in Woodland and then to the gazebo in La Center. Then Sarah said she had some people she had to meet at the church in La Center, so we headed over there.
Once we got there she said she wanted me and Naomi (one of her little sisters who came along) to come in with her so she wouldn't be by herself.
And then of course we walked threw the closed doors and "Surprise!". Boy, was I surprised!
So that is how they got me to come to the party without even having an idea why I was there!

Oh, and today is the first day of Spring!! Huzzah!! I'm not excited or anything here. :)

Countdown to Spring!!

Spring is officially just two days away!! Yay!!!! Can you tell I'm just a little excited? ;)

Last Friday one of our goats had triplets! Two boys and a girl. They are so cute!!

Yesterday evening another one of our girls had triplets! This time two girls and a boy! Yay!!

And then this morning, mom woke me up to tell that one of our other goats we didn't expect to kid until at least tomorrow had had her babies and we needed to go make sure they were ok!
I hurriedly got dressed and went out there to find another set of triplets almost dry and trying to walk around!! Two boys and a girl!
I am so thankful she didn't have any trouble and she was able to take care of all three of them and they are all doing great!

Yesterday we let all the momma's and babies out to play. I thought I'd share some of the cuteness. ;)

And since yesterday was so amazingly beautiful I went up to the Gristmill to get some pictures.
I wanted to practice with my shutter speeds on my camera and invited a friend to come along. :)
I thought I'd share some pix as it was so nice there!

There is also a covered bridge right next to the mill and I had to get some pix of it, I love the old wood look! :)

And I got a pic of Sarah while we were there as she kept taking my picture so I thought I'd get her back. ;)

 Sarah is a photographer and she has been helping me to learn how to use my camera even better and gives me tips and stuff. :) Thanks Sarah!

Today is a little bit overcast, but the sun can still shine through a little, and its a bit windy!
But it was way warmer this morning than yesterday. :)

Spring is Almost Here!

In exactly 10 days from today it will officially be Spring!!
Its been feeling like Spring already around here, especially this last week.
Lots of rain but getting warmer with sun breaks here and there, and best of all, some of the trees are starting to bud and we have flowers here and there!

Its been raining a lot this week. A lot of my friends and even one of my sisters like the rainy weather.

Me on the other hand, well......

But this morning and then later on this after noon the sun peeked out!
It's been clear sky for the past 2 hours and I'm so happy!! :D (Sorry rain lovers) ;)
I was able to get some pictures before dark too!
