God Said No

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, But for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No..
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;
It isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
And brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own,
But I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things That I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life,
So that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said... Ahhhh,
Finally
you have the idea.

'To the world you might be one person,
But to one person you just might be the world'

'May the Lord Bless you and keep you,
May the Lord Make his face shine upon you,
And give you Peace......Forever'

'Good friends are like stars...
You don't always see them, But you know they are always there.

May God Bless You,

Fort Schools End Once Again

The Fort Youth Schools have come to an end for the year once again.
We had a great group of kids this year. Looking forward to working with all the new kids that came this year in 2nd yr. school next. 😄

The Graduation/Moving-Up Ceremony and Scavenger hunt/Trivia game went well and all the kids seemed to enjoy it.
Think we found a few questions to rewrite for next time round and a few subjects to make sure we talk about in the schools so the kids will know the answer.😉

Here are pictures from the morning game:

ONly 1 less student than last year, the and one missing because she already left. (just like last year!)
We had 5 teams this year, all had a fun name! Here they are from team Team A-E with their points.
  • A Team - answered 99 questions right
  • Beaver Skin Belt Buckles - answered 97 questions right
  • Voyagérs - da winning team! answered 107 questions right!
  • Twists - answered 103 questions right
  • Silver Foxes - answered 104 questions right!

And here are pictures from the Graduation/Moving-Up Ceremony.
It started with a potluck with all the kids and their families, the certificates on completion given, game winners announced and their prizes received, then dancing!
We did a circle photo like this last year, so we thought it would be fun to do one again! :)

Awards & certificates

It was a fun day and I look forward to working with and seeing all the kids in the upcoming events this year!

Bella

On Friday June 9th, Bella our 10yr and a few months old Great Dane left us.
She had mammary cancer and it was getting worse and then her kidney or another organ was giving out, so the vet said the kindest thing for her was to put her down before she started having pain on top of her increasing uncomfortableness. 😢

It's amazing how FAST the years go by!!
I mean, it's been 10 years since we got Bella as an 8 week old puppy?!?!!!

It is so strange not having her around. No strange noises that turn out to be her snoring, no loud barks when we get home... it's just... strange....

But sadly Great Dane life spans are only 8-10 years, so God truly blessed us with over 10 years with Bella!

Here are some picture Bella's life:

No she's not wincing, the toy is in her lap. ;)

Miss you Bella! <3

Flora

This past Saturday was the final day we went to the final day of 2nd yr. at Fort Vancouver.
The topics that day were garden, medicine and 5-minutes of fame (talk about the fort, the building yourself, the school in 5-minutes).

I was able to get some beautiful pictures of the flowers while I was there as I went in modern apparel.

this one is my favorite  :)

Oh yeah! It's Belinda's 3rd birthday today!

May Flowers

I can't believe May is practically over already!!!
Is it just me or as you get older does time goes by faster?

I took the opportunity of the beautiful weather to get some pictures today.
Megs & Kai are both sick, so once I was done with work I decided to take my camera outside with me.

I do love taking pictures of Flora and Fauna.😊

Oh dear, I just found the emoticons, we're  in trouble now! 😉    (see..)

This past weekend dad and I worked on the garden, he got the new manure rototilled in and we got all of our plants we bought in the ground, now to get my seedlings I planted "hardened" so they can go in and to get the sprouting corn in.
Still have the bush bean plants and seeds we just got planted as well as some potatoes. 😌

Anyways, I love my new car, I'm so glad God blessed me with the ability to get one!
It drives wonderfully and I get a little over the expected mpg!
I added some sport visors over the windows and a bumper protector to keep the bumper edge from chipping.  (sport visors are so handy and nice looking too!)

Well, time for chores, it takes a little longer with just mom and me to do it.

Have a great week everyone!
Blessings!

Flowers/Life: A Reminder

Spring is here!
A week or so ago my Irises were out and in full bloom!!

Now they are gone, a sweet memory and a few pictures are all that's left of those beautiful flowers.

It makes you think about how flowers resemble our lives....
Like it says in Psalms 103:15

And as it says in Isiah 40:8:

Besides His Son and the gift of Salvation, time is one of the most precious gifts we are given in this life.
But, like most things in this life, we must spend it wisely.
For one day, in the blink of an eye, when we least expect it, it could be over. *Poof*
What kind of account do you want to give for your time when you stand before the One who made you?
Did you live your life for Him, or did you foolishly spend it on trivial selfish things?
God gave you grace when you received Him into your life, live it out, grow in it and share that grace with others in the time you are given!

A Joke & Baby Goat Pictures

Since I missed last week, and had trouble thinkning of something to post this week, I thought I'd make ya'll have a good laugh and then share a few pix. :)

A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd on a remote mountainous pasture in Montana, when suddenly a brand-new 2015 BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust. The driver, a young man in a Brioni® suit, Gucci® shoes, RayBan® sunglasses, and YSL® tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?"

Bud looks at the man, who is obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, why not?"

The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell® notebook computer, connects it to his Apple iPhone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location, which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.

The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop® and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany. Within seconds, he receives an email on his Apple iPad® that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses an MS-SQL® database through an ODBC-connected Excel® spreadsheet with email on his Galaxy S5® and, after a few minutes, receives a response.

Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on a Hishi-Tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet® printer, turns to the cowboy, and says, "You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves."

"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says Bud.

He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on with amusement as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.

Then Bud says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?"

The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?"

"You're a Congressman for the U.S. Government," says Bud.

"Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?"

"No guessing required." answered the cowboy. "You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew to a question I never asked. You used millions of dollars worth of equipment trying to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don't know a thing about how working people make a living — or about cows, for that matter. This is a herd of sheep. Now, give me back my dog!"

We had 2 new baby goats born! They are SO cute and spotted!!
Thought I'd share a few pix of them. :)

Are they not just too cute?!

Stand Firm for Him,
Blessings!
