Time Goes By So Fast!

Wow. It's January 22nd already?! Wait. What?
How?! It feels like I was just counting down the days to our Adventure, in KY.
It feels as if I was just starting work at the Ararat Ridge Zoo at the Ark Encounter.
Feels like just yesterday we were hanging out with our amazing KY friends we made while we were there.

Yet it feels like we were just celebrating Christmas with my family and our amazing friends here at home.

In another week and a half will mark 2 months since we left KY. In a week and a half we'll have been home for the same amount of time we were gone.
In a week and a half marks the 2 months it's been since we had to say some very hard goodbyes to our amazing new friends, and start our super fun exciting treck across the southern half of the US and make it back home in 3 1/2 days!

I admit, I have been slacking off on my posts. Like... altogether. and I apologize. I really have no excuse.
I shall try and get back into the habit.

And Since I am missing ourtime in KY today, I shall share some more photos of our adventure.

Times Flies When You're Having Fun!

I can't believe it's Dec. already and the 2 months on KY are already over!!
It went by WAY to fast!
But while Megs and I were there, we had a ton of fun and made some amazing new friends!

We worked at the Ark Encounter Zoo, it was so much fun I didn't want to leave!
Made some fun animal friends that I'm also going to miss!

I had fun and except for the first two weeks, I tried to take videos everyday and put them together at the end of the week for a fun video. I did 6 videos plus an extra from our Indianapolis Zoo visit.

My Adventure! Part 1

Greetings from the state of Kentucky!
On Oct 2nd mom, Megs and I started off on our 3 day straight through trip to Ky.

We had a packed full car as we were taking a goat to KY with us to be picked up by his new owner and taken to VA.

What I've been up to...

Hmm... Looks like I have neglected my blog for over a month.... Sorry about that.
I do have a good excuse! Several actually, though I know excuses are..
um...  poor and inadiquite. (heh, I looked that meaning up.) 😀

So in August we have several things happen!

1. My sister Megs and I applied and were accepted for a season position at the Ark Encounter in KY! It's cool! Go check it out! 
2. Our grandparents are moving up to live with us from CA. So we've been preping their house and getting everything ready for them. They will be here THIS WEEKEND!!! 😮😁
3. Finally getting the last of our fencing up so the yard is fully enclosed for our doggies so they can't run up to the road.
4. We've been busy preping things so I'm all caught up on getting the critters ready for winter BEFORE I  leave for KY! Man, there is so much to do!

And this past Saturday the biggest event at the Fort, Campfires & Candlelight happened!
It was great! I was in the WWI camp again, 5th year in a row. (can't tell I like it or anything can you?) 😉

 It was lots of fun and we didn't get rained on this year which was great!

Camping!!

Two weeks ago we went camping for the first time in 10 years!!! 😮😆

It was a BLAST!!! Only complaint... to. many. bugs... mostly the gnats. 😒
But we got to go hiking, agate and crystal hunting in the creeks,
dry beds and the liquid ice filled ones. BRRRR! was it cold!

But we went with some family friends and everyone had fun.

This year, for my dad's birthday, some friends and us went to the Bow Picker for fish n' chips, then went up to the Astoria Column to eat them and show them the column as they've never been there before!
Then we all went to the shipwreck at the Fort Stevens beach.
So much fun!
